The eight-thousanders are recognized as the 14 mountains that are more than 8,000 metres (26,247 ft) in height above sea level.
All eight-thousanders are located in the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges, and their summits are in the death zone where the lack of sufficient oxygen will kill you.
So, to honour the climbing history and the sheer majesty of these mountains, I designed a collection of informative artwork for anyone to collect.
Vintage appeal. Contemporary artwork designed to look vintage, and with plenty of information.
Stunning designs. Gorgeous colours, reminiscent of wood-cut and serigraph artwork from the 1920s-30s
Top quality. Archival-quality paper and inks, custom trimmed by hand.
These are not so much posters, but high quality art prints.
Anyone who appreciates mountaineering, climbing, or mountains in general will sense the charm and pride behind each design.
Designed specifically for high quality, giclee printing on archival paper. My approach: appreciate and educate.
Each poster in the collection contains facts about the mountain and the history of their summits. The height of each peak is shown to scale as well. Everest’s peak, being the highest of the 8000+ m peaks, is highest on the prints.
