The Solar System

As someone with an interest in astronomy, I believe it’s important for everyone to have a basic understanding of our solar system and our place within it.

To support that goal, I designed a series of educational posters that present key information about each planet in a clear, engaging format. Each poster combines scientific data with compelling visuals to help make the story of our solar system more accessible and visually memorable.

Design

Each poster features twelve essential facts, a concise planet description, the official planetary symbol, and a scaled legend indicating the planet’s relative distance from the sun.

Typefaces were chosen for clarity and versatility. Gill Sans was used for titles and primary headings due to its modern, approachable character, while Franklin Gothic was selected for supporting text because of its strong legibility at smaller sizes.
